Record 11 Medals Won By 4 Competitive Couples From RpMerleon!

News Summary:

At the competition held in the Orchid Country Club Ballroom on Sunday 29 Jun 2008, a record 11 Medals ranged from Gold to Bronze were won by 4 competitive couples from RpMerleon Studios! Robin & Pele, Trainers of RpMerleon Studios were overjoyed and ecstatic over our students' excellent competitive results, especially since these 4 couples have only consistently taken part in weekly group courses of between 3 months to 2 years and private lessons sparingly. Our Senior Trainer Robin Chee was one of the judges for this competition.

In particular, Weili & Madeline won 2 Silver & 2 Bronze medals in the Standard Medalist category, having taken only 8 private lessons within 2 years! Kwong & Woan San won 3 Golds & 1 Silver medals in the Standard Pre-Beginners category with only 2 private lessons within 2 years. Woan San just emailed and requested the clarification that the first private was for Kwong to learn the Viennese Waltz last year as he missed the group course while the second private they took was just a month before this competition for Slow Waltz.

Kenneth & Jasmine in their first competition together won 1 Silver & 1 Bronze medals in the Latin Pre-Beginners category, having taken only 4 private lessons within this month of Jun 2008! Our wedding couple, Minh & Jo-Lyn did well enough to obtain a Bronze medal in the Waltz Pre-Beginner category with 8 private lessons within 2 months in preparation for their wedding in July 2008!

One good habit about this bunch is that majority are die-hards of RpMerleon Studio's Saturday Practice Nites. Every Saturday night between 8 to 11pm you can see them diligently practicing what they have learnt at the studio. Regular practice and quality instruction are the key to success.
